The HorizonLanka Virtual Academy (HLVA) is one of the community projects by the HorizonLanka Foundation .
The HorizonLanka Foundation is a non profit based organization (i.e. NGO) which operates in the rural village Mahavilachchiya . The HorizonLanka Foundation is involved in a mission to buildup an ICT enabled community.
It mainly focuses on the rural youth and children with the objectives of bridging the void created by the digital divide and prepare them to gain the maximum benefits of ICT in their education, career and improving quality of life. However we are not just limited to the village and we have launched this project to expand our vision to the global village.
The HorizonLanka Academy , a sub entity within the HorizonLanka Foundation provides training on; ICT, English language skills, communication skills, interpersonal skills, etc. with the objective of achieving the mission set by the Foundation. HLVA is actually a project launched and conducted by HorizonLanka Academy and most of the HLVA content is developed by the HorizonLanka Academy teachers and students.
